Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 10-Sep-2020
Deep, ruby-red, youthful, lighter pink on edge. The nose is softly-penetrating aromatic black cherries, deep florals, along with herbs and an earthy undertone. Medium-bodied, black cherries and blackberries melded with an amalgam of fragrant herbs, subtle deep florals lingers on the finish. The mouthfeel is soft with powdery tannin, lightly coated on the palate along a mineral textured line. The fruit is with ripe flavour and mid-palate weight, broaden the dimension along with savoury elements and herbal-nuanced finish. This is a refined Pinot Noir with flavours of black fruit, deep florals on a supple powdery tannin palate lead to a savoury herbal-nuanced finish. Match with pork loin and venison carpaccio over the next 3 years. 14% alc, aged in French oak barriques for 9 months. 17.5+/20 pts Sept 2020 RRP $28
