Pinot Brothers Circle B Bendigo Pinot Noir 2018, Central Otago

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Central Otago & Waitaki
Review Date : 31-Aug-2022
Deep, ruby-black with a hint of garnet, lighter on the rim. The nose is full, with underlying power, alluring aromas of dark herb melded with savoury components of mushroom, forest floor, unfolding semi-dried blackberries and cherries. Medium-full bodied, dried blackberry and cherry are lush, black pepper and cinnamon unfolding alongside dried thyme, mushroom and earth. The wine has integrated, showing spice and savoury development, adding complexity and layers. Lacy acidity provides vitality and strength; ripe, fine tannins contribute to structure. This Pinot Noir shows harmonious integration and complexity with a dark fruit core and savoury details. Match with lamb and roasted duck over the next 5 years. Fermented with 50% whole bunches with wild yeasts to 13.5% alc, 20-21 days on skins, aged 9 months in seasoned French oak barrels. 18.5/20 pts (93 pts) Aug 2022 RRP $40
