Pierre Usseglio Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc 2008

Blended White from France - Rhone
Review Date : 17-May-2012
A blend of 70% Grenache Blanc 20% Clairette and 10% Bourboulenc, the wine aged 6 months in tank and 10% new oak. Straw-yellow colour with golden hues, this is full with bright and fresh aromas of stonefruits, tropical fruits, nuts and herbs. Full-bodied, exotic florals and stonefruit flavours show openly, with some alcohol warmth and drive providing the structure. While there is good acidity, the mouthfeel is rounded and reasonably soft. This has good fruit definition, the lighter vintage providing a restrained background.  17.5+/20  May 2012  RRP $72.00
