Pierre et Papa Pays d’Herault Cinsault Rosé 2015

Rose from France - Other
Review Date : 26-Feb-2017
Bright, pale candy-floss pink with peach hues, lighter on the rim. The nose is elegant with delicate aromas of fresh strawberries and red florals, along with a subtle array of red berry fruits, unfolding fruit pastille confectionary notes and thirst-quenching mineral nuances. Off-dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate has a soft, rounded core of sweet red berry fruits and gentle notes of confectionary. The sweetness enhances the body and mouthfeel, and the wine flows smoothly, enlivened by fresh acidity leading to a soft red berryish finish. This is a gently rich, smooth flowing off-dry rosé with delicate red berry fruit flavours along with subtle confectionary notes. Match with Asian fare and antipasto over the next 2 years. 100% Cinsault fruit from Languedoc, vine 40 y.o., fermented at low temperatures to 12.0% alc., the wine aged 2 months on lees. 16.5/20 Feb 2017 RRP $15.95
