Picton Bay Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 24-Nov-2015
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hue, near colourless on the rim. The nose is fresh, clean and youthfully bracing with cool-spectrum fruit aromas of cut grass, nettles and gooseberry fruit, along with suggestions of passionfruit and chalky minerals. Dry to taste and medium-light bodied, the palate is crisp and tightly bound with herbaceous, grassy and cooler spectrum gooseberry, nettle and herb notes. The mouthfeel is bright and zingy with lively acidity, and the wine follows a light, phenolic, textural line that leads to a grassy, acid finish with dry textures. This is a refreshingly crisp, cooler-spectrum, light Sauvignon Blanc with light, dry textures. Serve with seafood, salads and vegetables over the next 18 months to 2 years. Marlborough fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. and 3.5 g/L RS. 16.0/20 Nov 2015 RRP $12.99
