Picton Bay Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 11-Jul-2014
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on rim. The nose is soft and fresh with aromatic, lifted, gooseberry, passionfruit, lime and floral notes, harmoniously melded and opening in volume in the glass. Dry to taste, and medium-light-bodied, up-front and mouthwatering flavours of gooseberries and passionfruit are enriched and enlivened by slippery and racy acidity. The mouthfeel is bright, light, juicy and lively, and the wine flows with good energy, carrying through to a light, lingering dry finish. This is a delightfully refreshing, aromatic and slippery flowing, light Sauvignon Blanc. Serve as an aperitif and with seafood over the next 2 years. Marlborough fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. and 3.5 g/L RS. 17.0/20 Jul 2014 RRP $10.99
