Petit Clos Marlborough Pinot Noir 2009

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 12-Feb-2011
Young vine Pinot Noir fermented to 13.6% alc. and macerated in large French oak foudre. Bright, light ruby red with purple hues, this has a robust nose of ripe dark berries, cut hay and a rustic earthiness. On palate, there is plenty of sweet, dark berry and plum fruit alongside spices and earth. The wine has a juiciness from the fresh acidity and plenty of tannin grip carrying through to the finish. A fruity, robust red to match with Middle Eastern cuisine, pastas and poultry over the next 3-4 years. 16.5-/20 Jan 2011 RRP $23.00
