Peter Yealands ‘Reserve’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 02-Dec-2013
100% Awatere fruit from two parcels, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 3.5 g/L RS. Brilliant, pale straw-yellow colour, lighter on rim. This has a full and concentrated bouquet of ripe gooseberry fruit with citrus and pungent tropical fruit nuances, lifted with white florals. Dry to taste and with a full, weighty palate, harmoniously integrated flavours of passionfruit and gooseberries form a very smooth-flowing palate. The mouthfeel is soft and rounded with subtle, mouth-watering acidity. A little alcohol generosity and drive emerges and carries the fruit to a mellow nuanced finish. This is a soft-textured and harmonious Sauvignon Blanc with the body to match Mediterranean inspired fare, including vegetables and seafood, over the next 2 years. 18.0-/20 Dec 2013 RRP $20.95
