Peter Yealands ‘Premium Selection’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2012

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 18-Feb-2013
Bright, very pale straw-yellow colour, pale on rim. The nose is full with softly packed aromas of mineral-infused passionfruit and tropical fruit detail, evenly expressed and with good presence. Dry to taste, softly rich and concentrated flavours of passionfruit and fresh herbs form a solid core and palate line. This is well-balanced with weight, fresh underlying acidity and brightness, the textures rounded and smooth. The flavours flow with depth to a long and concentrated finish with passionfruit notes. This is a softly concentrated and completely balanced Sauvignon Blanc with good weight and mouthfeel. Match with Mediterranean-inspired fare over the next 2 years. 80% Seaview fruit comprising 7 parcels and 20% Wairau fruit from 2 parcels, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 3.39 g/L rs. 18.0/20 Feb 2013 RRP $19.95
