Peter Yealands ‘Premium Selection’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2010

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 18-May-2011
Bright, pale straw-yellow with green hues, this has a fresh, full, up-front nose with aromas of ripe gooseberries and passionfruit, along with capsicums, herb and bean notes. Dry and crisp on palate, the fruit flavours of gooseberries, herbs and nettle are open and very accessible. The wine has excellent weight and presence, and the mouthwatering acidity and subtle phenolic grip provide a good line and length. The wine has a noticeably dry, sustained finish. Fruit from 13 blocks in the ‘Seaview' vineyard in the Awatere, cool stainless-steel fermented to 13.0% alc. and 4 g/L rs, Drink over the next 2 years with salads, vegetables, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern fare. 17.5+/20 May 2011 RRP $18.50
