Moderately deep, dark ruby-red colour with youthful purple hues, lighter on rim. The nose is soft and voluminous with up-front aromas of dark raspberries and tamarillos infused with cooler-spectrum fresh herbs, revealing whole berry fermentation confectionary and jam notes. Medium-full bodied, openly accessible, lush and juicy fruit flavours of raspberries are entwined with fresh herbal notes. The flavours are lifted and enriched by confectionary and jammy flavours, lending fleshiness to the mouthfeel. This is lively, and the wine follows a firm underlying tannin core that carries the wine to a grainy-textured, granular finish with crisp acidity. This is a fresh, open Pinot Noir with raspberry and jam flavours with refreshing herb notes and a firm, brisk finish. Serve with antipasto and tapas over the next 3 years. Fruit from the Seaview and Southern Valleys vineyards, given a cold soak and fermented to 14.0% alc., a portion of the wine aged in 3 y.o. French oak barrels. 16.5+/20 Apr 2015 RRP $18.95
