Brilliant, light golden-yellow colour with some depth, lighter on the rim. This has a firmly packed and concentrated nose of white and yellow stonefruits that open to reveal nuances of exotic rose-petal florals, spices and honeysuckle, entwined with flinty and subtle oxidative nutty detail. Dryish to taste, this has a rich and flavoursome heart of luscious stonefruit flavours melded with exotic florals and honeysuckle, unfolding complexing nutty nuances. The mouthfeel possesses light, underlying textures that balance the fruit sweetness, and the wine flows with bright, fine, acid energy, carrying to a dry, fine-textured, light, but lingering finish with exotic floral notes. This is a dryish, lively Pinot Gris with rich and exotic stonefruit flavours along with complexing nutty detail. Match with most white meat dishes over the next 4+ years Two picks, both by hand, the first WBP and fermented in seasoned French oak, the late-pick portion cool-fermented in tank, the blend at 14.0% alc. and 7 g/L RS, the wine aged 7 months on lees. 350 cases made. 18.0+/20 Apr 2016 RRP $27.00
