Pencarrow Pinot Noir 2020, Martinborough

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 17-Jan-2023
Light crimson, even colour throughout. The nose is softly full and vibrant, with aromas of delicate floral entwined with red cherry, ripe strawberry, spice and earth details. Medium-bodied, aromas of cherry and strawberry melded with soft floral, rooibos tea, cinnamon spice and hints of earth. The mouthfeel is creamy with a dusty layer of supple tannins; lively acidity carries spice and floral scents to an elegant closing. This is a delicate Pinot Noir with good energy and a soft palate. Match with quail and smoked eel over the next 3-4 years. 14% alc. 18.5-/20 pts (92 pts) Jan 2023 RRP $35
