Pencarrow Pinot Noir 2020, Martinborough

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 10-Nov-2023
Moderately deep ruby-black with a garnet shade, lighter on the rim. The nose is elegantly presented with black cherry, blackberry, herbs and toasty oak aromas. Medium-bodied, black cherry and blackberry aromas melded with thyme, cinnamon and warm spices. The fruit shows lovely depth and length, with supple, fine tannins and lacy acidity, leading to an elegant closing. Match with duck and pulled pork over the next 3-5 years. Fermented with some whole cluster and wild yeast, aged for 10 months in French Oak, 25% new. 14% alc. 18.5/20 pts (93 pts) Nov 2023 RRP $35
