Pencarrow Pinot Gris 2022, Martinborough

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 17-Jan-2023
Bright, even, pale straw-yellow. The nose is soft with delicate aromas of orchard fruit, white spice and floral details. Medium-bodied, dry to taste, aromas of pear and Gala apple linger with ginger, cardamom and pear blossom. The mouthfeel is lightly textural with fine phenolics and tingles with spice. Balanced, refreshing acidity enlivens and carries to a satisfying closing. This well-balanced Pinot Gris possesses well-proportioned fruit, floral and spice with a refreshing finish. Match with siu mai and Thai-style steamed fish over the next 2-3 years. 13% alc. 18+/20 (91 pts) Jan 2023 RRP $27
