Pencarrow Pinot Gris 2022, Martinborough

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 10-Nov-2023
Bright, even, pale yellow. This has a crisp and soft bouquet with aromas of apple, Nashi pear, blossom and a light ginger dusting. Medium-bodied, dry-ish to taste, aromas of red apple, Nashi pear entwined with a hint of honey, pear blossom and delicate ginger spice. The fruit is bright with well-balanced sweetness and sourness, lending a moreish, crisp finish. Match with kokoda and pork satay over the next 3 years. Fermented in tank to 13% alc, 7 g/l RS, aged on lees for 3 months before bottling. 18.5/20 pts (93 pts) Nov 2023 RRP $28
