Very pale straw colour with youthful, pale green hues, this has a full nose with voluminous aromas of pungent passionfruit, gooseberries and limes, lifted with some fermentation esters. Dry to taste, the flavours of passionfruit, tropical fruits and English gooseberries are a little restrained and tight in expression. The acidity is bright and fresh, and the palate has a slightly drying texture which leads to a dry, minerally finish of moderate length. Made from fruit from the company's own vineyards and contracted grapes, cool-fermented to 13.5% alc. Serve with seafood, salads, vegetables and creamy cheeses over the next 2-3 years. 17.5/20 Aug 2011 RRP $17.00
