Mendoza clone fruit from Martinborough fermented to 13.5% alc. and aged 9 months on lees in American and French oak barrels. Bright straw-yellow colour with green-gold hues, this has a fresh, firm and deep nose of citrus fruits and nuts interwoven with complex mineral and flinty reduction aromas. Full-bodied, this has bold ripe citrus fruit flavours supported by nutty, flinty elements, expressed with power and a little alcoholic drive. The oaking is in balance and acidity fresh, resulting in a crisp mouthfeel.. A fine textural line leads to a moderately sustained finish with spicy oak and citrussy fruit. Drink the full-bodied, contemporary-styled Chardonnay with grilled or roasted seafood and poultry over the next 3-4 years. 17.0+/20 Mar 2012 RRP $20.65
