Pencarrow Martinborough Chardonnay 2010

Chardonnay from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 13-Feb-2011
Bright straw yellow colour, the nose is somewhat shy and light at this youthful stage. Delicate nectarine-like fruit and a little nuttiness show on bouquet. However, on palate, there is plenty of up-front flavour, with citrus and tropical fruits alongside the cool stonefruit notes. A robust wine on palate, the acidity becomes a feature on the finish. This will be a good wine to serve with firm textured seafoods and poultry over the next 2-3 years. Mendoza clone Chardonnay fruit is the base of this wine, fermented to 13.5% alc., and aged approx. 9 months in French and American oak. 16.5+/20 Dec 2010 RRP $16.00
