Chardonnay from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 04-Nov-2024
Bright, even, pale yellow gold. The nose is gently full, with aromas of golden apple, stonefruit, melon and baked bread. Medium-full bodied, aromas of melon, apple, grapefruit and peach entwined with clarified butter, toasted bread and roasted cashew. The soft and creamy mouthfeel flows smoothly along a zesty acid line; toasty details add complexity. An amiable Chardonnay flaunting ripe fruit, creamy and toasty details. Match with creamy chicken and pasta over the next 3 years. Fermented in French oak barrels to 13% alc, some lees stirring, aged 10 months in barrels. 18/20 pts (90 pts) Nov 2024 RRP $32
