Deep, ruby-red with a black hue, good transparency, lighter on the rim. The nose is gently full and elegant, aromas of black cherries, blackberries, plums entwined with a spice dusting and a hint of medicinal herbs. Medium-full bodied, nuances of black cherries, plums and blackberries have a ripe and broad core, enriched by dark herbs and subtle spices. Tannin is ripe and velvety, lightly coated the palate, provide structure; along with plush acidity, carry spices with alcohol power lends a lengthy, dry finish. This is a dark-fruited Pinot Noir with alluring dark herbs and spices on a velvety tannin palate. Match with Shepherd's pie and herb-crusted lamb over the next 8 years. Handpicked, 40% whole bunches, cold soaked for a week, natural fermentation to 13.5% alc, post ferment maceration for up to 7 days.
