Bright, even, pale yellow with depth and a green hue. This has a fresh and complex bouquet, restrained aromas of struck match overlay white floral, tropical fruit and spice. Full-bodied, off-dry to taste, aromas of melon and papaya are enlivened by spiced pear, jasmine, rose, a spice mix of ginger and nutmeg, and flinty details. The wine has excellent freshness enhanced by acid balance and spice; the fruit shows depth and persists to a long, spicy finish. A hint of sweetness provides roundness and weight. This weighty, spicy Gewurztraminer possesses tropical fruit and an amalgam of floral details, persist harmoniously to a long, enticing finish. Match with chicken liver parfait and spicy prawn stir fry over the next 5+ years. Harvested with an amount of botrytis, crusted and left on skins, pressed, fermented in old oak puncheons naturally, aged 6 months in the same barrels. 13.9% alc, 16.5 g/l RS. 18.5+/20 pts (94 pts) July 2022 RRP $30
