Made from Pinot Noir and a small portion of Dolcetto from the Waitaki Valley, WBP, the free-run juice was cool-fermented to 12.5% alc. Bright, pale straw colour with the faintest blush, pale on rim. The nose is attractively lifted aromas of exotic white florals, nuances of red berry fruit, quite ethereal in expression, with some youthful fermentation esters present Dry to taste, subtle stonefruit and floral flavours are lifted with hints of red fruits and show a touch of lusciousness. The mouthfeel is smooth, with slippery acidity and the delicate flavours flow seamlessly. This is mouthwatering and crisp, the acid line continuing through to a zesty, long and nuanced finish.
