Full, even, dark ruby-red colour, youthful in appearance. The bouquet is firm and tightly packed with fresh, brackish aromas of dark red berry fruit and dark herbs, showing good punchy depth, revealing savoury stalk and mineral notes and the beginnings of secondary dried herb complexities. Medium-bodied, full, bold and up-front flavours of dark red berry fruits and dark herbs are supported by open, grainy tannins providing mouthfilling structure. This is bright and lively with balanced acidity enhancing the fruit richness, and the wine carries to a lush, vibrant, fruity finish with red berry and herb elements. This is a full, accessible, dark fruited, lively Pinot Noir with accessibility and balanced structure. Serve with Asian duck and pork dishes over the next 4-5 years. Fruit fully destemmed and indigenous yeast fermented to 13.0% alc., the wine spending 35-40 days on skins and aged 11 months on 30% new French oak. 333 cases made. 18.0/20 Jan 2015 RRP $49.00
