Moderately dark ruby-red colour with some depth, a little lighter on the edge. This has a very fresh and bright nose with up-front primary fruit aromas of dark-red and black cherries in an amalgam with lifted red florals and nuances of fresh herbs. Light-medium bodied, the palate is elegant and near slender in presentation, with bright fruit flavours of dark red cherry fruit, red florals and hints of fresh herbs. The mouthfeel is smooth-flowing with light tannin extraction lending good line, and refreshing, slippery acidity. The wine carries to a clean, uncomplicated finish of red cherry fruit. This is an elegant, up-front and uncomplicated Valpolicella with flavours of red cherries, modest extraction and fresh acidity. Serve with antipasto, tapas, risotto and pasta over the next 2+ years. A blend of Corvina, Rondinella and Corvinone, fermented to 12.0% alc., the wine aged in tank for 3-4 months. 16.5/20 Sep 2016 RRP $14.99
