Bright, light straw-yellow colour with a little depth, paler on the edge. The nose is softly full with gently fresh aromas of tropical fruits and green stonefruits along with nuances of passionfruit and gooseberries, forming a moderately concentrated core, unfolding soft notes of fresh herbs. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the fruit is a little restrained in expression, showing tropical fruits, green stonefruits and herbs along with gooseberry notes and hints of passionfruit. The mouthfeel is soft and the palate has a rounded core with weight and presence. The wine flows smoothly, with light slippery and zesty acidity carrying the wine to a lingering finish. This is a Sauvignon Blanc with restrained flavours of tropical fruit, herbs and green stonefruits on a crisp, slippery palate with good presence and length. Match with salads and vegetables, and Mediterranean fare over the next 2 years. Estate fruit from the Gimblett Gravels fermented in stainless-steel to 11.5% alc. and 3 g/L RS, the wine aged 2 months on gross lees. 17.0+/20 Oct 2018 RRP $18.00
