Dolcetto fruit from Monforte d’Alba, fermented to 13.0% alc. Very dark, deep, purple-hued black-ruby colour, youthful in appearance. This has an intense and tightly bound, high-toned nose of black berry fruits, dried liquorice, black florals and aromatic coffee that grows in volume. Medium-bodied, even flavours of blackberries, liquorice and plum jam are lifted by black floral elements. The fruit expression is soft and rounded, and the density is enhanced by moderate acidity. The palate features a very firm, but fine-grained tannin line and core that carries the flavours to a moderately sustained, dry, textural finish with liquorice and blackberry nuances.
