Parusso ‘Le Coste-Mosconi’ Barolo DOCG 2006

Nebbiolo from Italy - Piedmont
Review Date : 31-May-2012
14.0% alc., the wine aged 24 months in French oak. Full, even dark ruby-red colour with garnet hues, this has a very full and voluminous bouquet with attractive, ripe red berry fruits and dominating spicy, cedary oak. Full-bodied, and very elegantly proportioned, the red floral fruit is ethereal ans shows in waves, in balance with the very fine, silky tannins. However cedary oak spices are prevalent, compromising the fruit. This is a very classy modern style, maybe a little too modern. In retrospect in another life and in another light, this could be interpreted as outstanding. Keep for 10-15+ years.  17.5/20  May 2012
