Parnasse Pays d’Oc Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from France - Other
Review Date : 04-Jun-2014
Bright, very pale straw-yellow colour, pale on rim. The nose is fresh with fine cutting aromas of herbs, white and green stonefruits, grass and waxy, lantana notes. Dry to taste and light-bodied, the flavours of grass, lantana, herbs and waxy elements are expressed gently and enlivened by crisp, fresh and slippery acidity. The palate flows with good energy, underlined by some phenolic textures forming a slender, but firm line, leading to a light, slippery and dry finish with grassy nuances. This is a light, slender, dry Sauvignon Blanc with a slippery mouthfeel. Serve with seafood, salads, vegetables and Mediterranean fare over the next 18 months. 100% Sauvignon Blanc from Beziers, Herault and Aude Valley, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.0% alc., the wine aged 3 months on lees. 16.0/20 Jun 2014 RRP $18.99
