Deep ruby-red, slightly lighter on the rim. This has a fresh, enticing bouquet packed with blackberry, cherry, chocolate and clove. Medium-full bodied, aromas of blackberry and dark cherry entwined with dark cocoa, clove, nutmeg and a hint of meaty nuance. Fine-grained tannins contribute to weight and structure. The succulent fruit shows a depth of flavour with spice complexity; lively acidity supports a moderately long finish. This Syrah has an immediate appeal with fine structure and details.
