Paritua Stone Paddock Sauvignon Blanc 2021, Hawke’s Bay

Review Date : 28-Oct-2021
Bright, even, pale yellow with a green hue. The nose is fresh, packed with aromas of green nettle, lime & its zest, underlying guava, elderflower and white spice lifting. Medium-light bodied, dry to taste, vibrant aromas of nettle and lime are focused, unfolding guava, elderflower and subtle spice. The palate is soft with nuances of creamy yoghurt, along with fine minerals. A zesty acid line persists to a dry, crisp finish. This Sauvignon Blanc is dry on the palate with vibrant citrus and herbaceous elements; creamy yoghurt balances taut acid tension lends a crisp closing. Match with goat's cheese tart and steamed mussels and clams over the next 2 years. Fruit from Bridge Pa Triangle, machine harvested, destemmed, fermented in stainless steel to 12% alc, left on lees for 3 months with regular stirring. 18-/20 pts (89 pts) Oct 2021 RRP $19.95
