Paritua Grace Sauvignon Blanc 2021, Hawke’s Bay

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 16-Jun-2022
Bright, even, pale yellow with a slightly green hue. This has an intensely fresh bouquet, with penetrating aromas of fresh herbs, lime, guava and passionfruit intermixed a hint of smoke and flinty minerals. Medium-full bodied, bring aromas of lime, grapefruit expended with passionfruit, pear and guava, underlying a fresh grassy note, alongside well-portioned butter and flinty minerals. Salivating acidity demands attention on the entry; creamy lees details soften and broaden the dimension, leaving an elegant, long finish. Fine-textured phenolics adorn and carry minerals across the palate. This is a multi-layered, textural Sauvignon Blanc with vibrant fruit and acid tension lent a long, creamy finish. Match with white fish with beurre blanc and pork over the next 6-8 years. Fruit from Paritua Vineyard, whole bunch basket-pressed, fermented in barrels to 12.5% alc, lees stirred weekly for 3 months, aged 11 months. 18.5+/20 pts (94 pts) June 2022 RRP $39.99
