Paringa South Australia Sparling Shiraz 2015

Sparkling Wine from Australia - South Australia
Review Date : 20-Sep-2016
Dark, deep, black-hued ruby-red colour with some purple hues, lighter on the rim, the bubbles very fine with modest persistence. This has a softly full, up-front and accessible nose of savoury dark-red berry fruit with nuances of mulberries and boysenberries, unfolding dark raspberry and herbal nuances. The aromatics show a gentle density and depth. Medium in sweetness and medium-bodied, the fruit flavours of ripe dark raspberries show with sweetness and juiciness, revealing subtle notes of boysenberries and herbs. The mouthfeel is gently effervescent with a soft mousse, and the fruit underlined by supple, very light tannins and softly ripe acidity. The textures grow to provide structure and grip, and carry to a dryish finish of raspberries and boysenberries. This is an up-front, sweet and juicy Sparkling Shiraz with raspberry and boysenberry flvours and emerging structure that leads to a dry-textured finish. Match with barbecued fare over the next 2-3 years. South Australian fruit fermented to 14.0 % alc. and 40.6 g/L RS. 2,000 cases made. 16.5+/20 Sep 2016 RRP AU$14.00
