Paringa South Australia Shiraz 2014

Syrah from Australia - South Australia
Review Date : 20-Sep-2016
Full, dark, deep, black-hued ruby-red colour with youthful purple hues. The nose is finely concentrated and firmly packed with ripe aromas of blackberries, dark raspberries and boysenberries, The fruit is lifted by attractive aromatic notes of Asian spices, cedar and nuances of eucalypt. Full-bodied, the fruit is plush and sweet, with ripe fruit flavours of blackberries and dark raspberries forming a deep, rounded core. Red fruits, liquorice and spices unfold, along with hints of tar, pepper and cedar. The tannins are supple and fine-grained, and the acidity soft, ripe and integrated. The wine leads to a lingering finish of sweet black and red fruits with pepper and spice. This is a plush, concentrated, ripe Shiraz with black and red fruits, nuances of spice and cedar, and supple tannins. Match with Middle Eastern lamb dishes over the next 4-5 years. South Australian fruit fermented to 14.5% alc. 15,000 cases made. 17.5+/20 Sep 2016 RRP AU$12.00
