Paringa South Australia Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

Cabernet Sauvignon from Australia - South Australia
Review Date : 13-Feb-2017
Dark, deep, black-red colour, a little lighter on the rim. The nose is full and soft with ripe aromas of blackcurrants melded harmoniously with layers of mint and eucalyptus, along with nuances of liquorice black ink and earth. Full-bodied, the palate is soft, up-front and rounded with gently mouthfilling flavours of blackcurrant fruit melded with eucalypt, mint, herbs and some earthy elements. The flavours are evenly presented with soft tannin extraction and gentle acidity adding to the roundness. As the wine flows, the flavours recede, leading to a light finish of blackcurrants, eucalypt, cedar and earth. This is a soft, rounded, up-front Cabernet Sauvignon with harmonious blackcurrant, eucalypt and earthy flavours on a smooth-flowing palate. Match with casseroles over the next 4+ years. South Australian fruit fermented to 14.5% alc. 17.0+/20 Feb 2017 RRP AU$12.00
