Parcel Canterbury Pinot Noir 2015

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 19-Dec-2016
Even ruby-red colour with slight purple hues, lighter on the rim. The nose is softly full with aromas of savoury red berry fruits and notes of mulberries entwined with subtle dark and dried herbs, some undergrowth, and a nutty oak and oxidative amalgam. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has light flavours of savoury red berry fruits alongside dried herbs, a little undergrowth and nutty nuances. The mouthfeel is soft in texture with light tannin extraction, and the acidity integrated with the mellow structure. The wine carries with some energy to a light red fruited finish with herb, earth and nutty nuances. This is a soft Pinot Noir with light flavours of savoury red fruits, dried herbs and nutty oak and oxidative hints. Serve with antipasto, pasta and risotto over the next 18 months to 2 years. Canterbury fruit fermented with 20% whole bunches to 13.0% alc., the wine aged 18 months in French oak barriques. (1.5 Litre Bag in the Box Cask) 15.5/20 Dec 2016RRP $37.95
