Palliser Estate ‘Special Release’ Martinborough Rosé 2014

Rose from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 12-Nov-2014
Brilliant, very pale pink colour with slight peach hues, lighter on rim. The nose is light and fresh with delicate aromas of strawberries and watermelon, unfolding red floral notes and fruit pastille nuances. Dry to taste and elegantly presented, the palate is thirst-quenchingly refreshing with flavours of strawberries and watermelon, alongside redcurrant elements. The mouthfeel is bright, lively and poised with lacy acidity and a very fine phenolic thread guiding the palate, lending a balancing dryness. Aromatic flavours of florals and sweet strawberry confectionary blossom on a long, lingering finish. This is a light, refreshing and mouth-watering rosé with blossoming strawberry flavours. Serve as an aperitif and with tapas on a sunny day over the next 2 years. 100% Pinot Noir from the ‘Pinnacles’ vineyard, given 3 hours skin contact and cool-fermented to 12.5% alc. and 5 g/L RS. 17.5/20 Nov 2014 RRP $22.85
