Brilliant pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues. This has a full and voluminous bouquet with stylishly restrained pungent passionfruit aromas with a concentrated and deep core, revealing rich, sweet lime and red capsicum nuances in the glass. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, tightly bound flavours of passionfruit, tropical fruits are supported by a very fine, textural thread and ripe, crisp acidity. The palate has richness allied to focussed intensity, unfolding waves of passionfruit, herbs and spices, the flavours building in presence and mouthfeel. The palate flows smoothly with slippery acidity carrying the wine to a mouthwatering, dry and very long and sustained finish. This is a richly concentrated passionfruity Sauvignon Blanc with mouthwatering textures and acidity. Serve with salads and vegetables, and with Mediterranean fare ober the next 2+ years. All Martinborough fruit, with 92% coming from estate or estate-managed vineyards, stainless-steel fermented with a portion by indigenous yeasts to 13.5% alc. and 3 g/L RS, the wine aged 4 months on lees. 18.5+/20 Nov 2013 RRP $26.50
