Bright, pale straw colour with light green hues, near colourless on rim. The nose is fresh and elegantly expressed with pure and clear aromas of white florals, limes and mouthwatering mineral and flinty lees notes. This is beautifully delicate, and unveils honeysuckle elements in the glass. Medium-dry to taste, up-front and finely proportioned fruit flavours of limes and lemonade show with yellow florals, honeysuckle and minerals. The palate features soft, drying phenolics balanced with pin-point acidity building to a good core with positive drive and energy. The wine carries to a refined, concentrated and lingering dry, textural, thirst-quenching finish. This is a medium-dry, fine, textured Riesling with pure lime, floral and minerally flavours. Serve as an aperitif and with Asian cuisine over the next 5+ years. Fruit from the ‘Om Santi’ and ‘Palliser’ vineyards, crushed and pressed, and given a short period of time on skins, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 11.4% alc. and 8.7 g/L RS, the wine aged 6 months on lees. 18.5-/20 Feb 2015 RRP $22.85
