Palliser Estate Martinborough Riesling 2012

Riesling from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 20-Feb-2013
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on rim. The bouquet is very delicate with pure and subtly entwined aromas of white florals limes, apples and minerals, the aromatics building in intensity whilst retaining finesse. Off-dry to taste, tightly bound and gracefully lively flavours of limes and white florals form a concentrated palate line. The mouthfeel is very fine-featured and poised with soft, quenching acidity in support of the delicate fruit. This has clarity and definition, and the flavours lead to a very long, crisp and nuanced finish. This is a beautifully refined, delicate and mouthwatering off-dry Riesling that will develop greater richness and complexity over the next 5-6 years. Serve as an aperitif and with subtle seafood. Martinborough fruit cool-fermented to 10.8% alc. and 12 g/L rs. 18.5/20 Feb 2013 RRP $22.85
