Palliser Estate Martinborough Riesling 2011

Riesling from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 14-Mar-2012
Bright straw-yellow colour with lemon-green hues, pale on rim. The bouquet is soft, full and voluminous with aromas of limes, citrus zest and honeysuckle. Off-dry, this has attractively luscious flavours of limes and yellow flowers with notes of honey and apricots that fill the palate. There is considerable fruit weight, forming a firm core and soft acidity enhances the fruit richness, which along with a little alcoholic power carries through to a very long, honied finish. This is a powerful Riesling that will unfold to develop more richness over the next 4-5+ years. Match with moderately spicy Asian cuisine. Martinborough fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 8.0 g/L rs. 18.5-/20 Mar 2012 RRP $22.85
