Paddy Borthwick Pinot Gris 2022, Wairarapa

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 05-Jul-2023
Bright, even, pale straw yellow colour. The nose is softly full, vibrant, penetrating crisp apple, pear drop, quince and blossom aromas. Medium-bodied, dry-ish to taste, quince, apple and pear aromas melded with a hint of ginger and apple blossom. The fruit flavour is generous, flows along a crisp acid line and has an oily mouthfeel added texture. This Pinot Gris shows attractive lush fruit, lively acidity, an oily mouthfeel and a dry finish. Match with pulled pork tacos and fish satay over the next 3 years. 12.5% alc. 18/20 pts (90 pts) July 2023 RRP $23
