Paco Navarra Garnacha/Tempranillo 2013

Blended Red from Spain
Review Date : 10-Jul-2015
An equal blend of Garnacha and Tempranillo from the Valizarbe region of Navarra fermented to 14.0% alc. Even, garnet-hued red colour, lighter on the rim. The nose is soft, light and ethereal with fragrant aromas of soft red cherry and berry fruit lifted by red florals, unveiling nuances of spice and pepper with aeration. Medium-full bodied and elegant in expression, the flavours of bright, sweet and lifted red cherry fruit along with hints of raspberries and confectionary nuances gently fill the mouth. The fruit is supported by light lacy acidity and fine-grained powdery tannins that grow in presence. The fruit has a fine core that is carried by the grip, leading to an aromatic, red floral, moderately sustained finish. This is a modern, bright, ethereal, cherryish Navarra red with fine, flowery tannin grip and structure. Match with poultry and pork dishes over the next 4+ years. 17.0/20 Jul 2015 RRP $24.99
