Pā Road Pinot Noir 2020, Marlborough

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 08-Jun-2021
Ruby-red with some depth, even colour throughout. The bouquet is full and vibrant, nuances of strawberries, raspberries melded with black currants, enriched by a creamy hint, roasted coffee beans and barrel spices. Medium-full bodied, rich on the palate with concentration, aromas of red fruit intermix black currants and plums. Toasty oak, cinnamon and roasted coffee beans contributed to the complexity and richness lend a mealy mouthfeel and a light tannin grip. Match with barbeque lamb and venison over the next 3 years. The fruit was sourced from Wairau and Southern Valleys, 3-5 days cold-soaked, fermented in open-top fermenters and stainless steel to 13.5% alc. Aged in French oak and stainless steel tanks for 9 months. 17/20 pts (85 pts) June 2021 RRP $18
