Pa Road Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2017

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 04-Sep-2017
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on the rim. The nose is very soft and gentle in expression, with pungent passionfruit and tropical fruit aromas entwined with fresh herbs. The aromatics grow in depth and intensity with aeration. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has moderately concentrated flavours of passionfruit, tropical fruits, gooseberries and fresh herbs. The mouthfeel is lively and refreshing with brisk acidity and the wine flows along a soft, textured palate line, carrying to a lingering, dry finish of passionfruit and herbs. This is a soft but fresh, lively passionfruited Sauvignon Blanc with zesty acidity and a dry, textural palate. Serve with Pacific Rim fare over the next 2 years. 35% of the fruit from the ‘Home’ vineyard, Wairau Bar, 35% from ‘Redwood Hills’ Awatere and 30% ‘Alabama Road’ site, Wairau, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 4 g/L RS. 16.5+/20 Sep 2017 RRP $17.99
