Pa Road Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 16-Nov-2016
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour, lighter on the rim. The nose is tight and fresh with intense aromas of pungent passionfruit along with subtle notes of tropical fruit and fresh herbs, and thirst-quenching mineral nuances. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate features bright, refreshing and lively flavours of sweetly pungent passionfruit intermixed with fresh herbs, green stonefruits and gooseberries. The mouthfeel is brisk and zesty with crisp, racy acidity, and the wine follows a tightly concentrated, very fine, grainy-textured line. The palate has very good energy and drive, and carries to a tightly concentrated, thirst-quenching, sustained finish of passionfruit, herbs and gooseberries. This is a well-concentrated Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit, herb and gooseberry flavours with zesty acidity and a mouthwatering finish. Serve as an aperitif, and with salads and vegetables over the next 2 years. Fruit from the MacDonald Home vineyard, Wairau Bar, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 4.0 g/L RS. 18.0-/20 Nov 2016 RRP $16.99
