Pā Road Marlborough Rosé 2021, Marlborough

Rosé from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 28-Jul-2021
Bright, blush-pink, even colour throughout. The nose is fresh with softness and elegance, aromas of field strawberries, blood orange zest underlying sweet floral scent. Medium-light bodied, dry to taste, aromas of blood orange, field strawberries have a fresh core, entwined with a hint of red floral. Zesty, white spice linger on the finish. Brilliant acidity provides great energy and crispiness to the palate; delicate fine-textured phenolic added mouthfeel. This is a crisp rosé with flavours of strawberries and citrus on a fine-textured palate. Match with whitefish ceviche and pineapple-glazed ham over the next 2-3 years. A blend of 70% Pinot Noir, 14% Riesling, 12% Pinot Gris and 4% Merlot, Pinot Noir and Merlot fruit was crushed and then pressed straight to stainless steel tanks fermented to 13% alc, 3 g/l RS. 17.5/20 pts (88 pts) July 2021 RRP $17.95
