Pa Road Marlborough Rosé 2017

Rose from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 04-Sep-2017
Bright, light candy-floss pink with peach tints, pale on the rim. The nose is soft and delicate with gentle volume of ethereal aromas of fragrant red florals, quince and subtle notes of strawberries. The nose intensified with soft density in the glass. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has a core of strawberries, florals and quince flavours along with some lifted esters, unfolding suggestions of herbs. The mouthfeel is fine and dryly textured with light phenolic grip, and the palate has good, fresh underlying acidity that carries to a thirst-quenching, dry finish with floral nuances. This is an elegant, mouthwatering dry rosé with subtle flavours of strawberries and quince on a fine-textured, phenolic lined palate. Serve as an aperitif, with canapes, and with antipasto over the next 2 years. 100% Pinot Noir fruit, 38% from ‘Omaka North’, 30% ‘Kelly’s Creek’ and 32% ‘Woodlands Estate’, in the central and southern Wairau, given 6 hours skin contact and cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 5 g/L RS. 16.5+/20 Sep 2017 RRP $17.99
