O:TU ‘Blend 102’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 10-Jul-2014
A selection of parcels from the ‘Dysarts’ block, cool-fermented to 13.0% alc. and 3.8 g/L RS, the wine aged 4 months on lees. Brilliant, very pale straw colour, pale on rim. This has a subtle bouquet with fresh and lively white floral and gooseberry fruit aromas and harmoniously interwoven flinty, minerally elements and delicate nuances of tropical fruits. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, gently entwined flavours of gooseberries, white stonefruits and aromatic flowers flow smoothly across the palate. The mouthfeel is seamlessly smooth, with integrated acidity providing excellent vitality and tension. A very fine textural thread guides the wine to a poised, mouthwatering finish with lingering sweet fruit notes. This is an elegant and harmonious Sauvignon Blanc with delicate floral and gooseberry flavours. Match with fine Asian fare, salads and vegetables over the next 2 years. 18.0+/20 Jul 2014 RRP $27.99
