Orlandi Contucci Ponno ‘Labyritho’ Chardonnay ColliAprutini IGT 2008

Chardonnay from Italy - Other
Review Date : 29-Aug-2015
Brilliant light golden colour. The bouquet is tightly concentrated and intense with rich, savoury citrus fruit aromas along with a complex layering of nutty, toast, barrel-ferment and oak notes. This has only begun to show secondary development. Medium-full bodied, the flavours are rich, lush and deeply packed, with a concentrated amalgam of citrus fruits, oak toast and nuts at the core. This is harmoniously and seamlessly integrated, unfolding waves of oak. There is a thread of acid freshness that adds to the linearity and length. A very complex, integrated Chardonnay with bold oaking inputs, coming into mature expression. 100% Chardonnay, hand-picked and fully fermented in new French oak to 13.5% alc., the wine aged on lees in tank. 18.0+/20 Aug 2015 RRP $60.00
